Duration: Long term contract (through 12/31/2015 with possibility of extension)
Location: On-site Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07675

Hours &
Benefits:
? Work week is 36.25/hours a week (7.25 hours a day).
? After 90 consecutive days you will qualify for holiday pay for company holidays.
? After working 1470 hours you would qualify for a year-end bonus.
? If you begin employment before May 1 2015, you are eligible for a performance and review and potential increase in Jan-May 2016.
Maintain Customer Satisfaction through product availability ?
Utilizing SAP-based material planning software, historical data, information from internal departments, and personal judgment ? the Material Planner will evaluate systemic order proposals, and order product from our Suppliers by generating and submitting Purchase Orders according to the established processes
Responsible for annual Purchasing volume in excess of $13.5 million to support overall product assortment sales in excess of $92.1 million
Communicate (external) ?
Frequent contact with Suppliers. Abbreviated list of topics include:
? Purchase Order Submission
? Open order report reconciliation
? Late delivery disposition and expediting
? Generating and submitting Demand/Forecast reports
Communicate (internal) ?
Frequent contact with internal departments on topics such as:
? Sales Promotions
? Initial Order planning
? Engineering issues / Product changes
? Pricing changes as notified by Suppliers
Improve Customer Satisfaction ?
? Analyze all parts on backorder and expedite the procurement of these items to minimize lead time and reduce impact on customer satisfaction
? Evaluate backorder trends and root causes (demand errors, lead-time delays, forecast/planning inaccuracies, etc.)
? Adjust Demand Planning and Supplier parameters as required to achieve optimal results
Monitor Performance to Targets ?
Extract data from computer systems and compile / distribute periodic reports
? SAP / Atlas
? Cognos (US and AG data warehouse)
Communicate (internal) ?
Frequent contact with Regional Distribution Centers on topics such as:
? Shipment: discrepancies. condition, and documentation
? Inventory status of specific or a range of parts
Improve Profitability ?
? Perform analysis of Obsolete and Overstock inventory and collaborate with Product Managers to determine best approach to alleviate stock levels
? Compile and track scrapping activity to ensure established budgets are not exceeded
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors / Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Educational Background:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Inventory Management, or Logistics
APICS Certification
Experience Requirements:
3 ? 4 years material planning and inventory management
2 ? 3 years Automotive parts logistics experience
2 ? 3 years SAP experience in SCE or SCP (Supply Chain Execution or Supply Chain Planning)
Special Skills:
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Typing: minimum of 30 words per minute
MS Access preferred
Excellent communication skills (verbal / written)
