How you ll create opportunities in this Tax Manager/Director role:
Serve tax exempt clients in the Healthcare, Higher Ed, and Nonprofit industries in a high impact manner, demonstrating command of a major area of specialization.
Demonstrate deep technical skills and have the above related industry knowledge.
Excel at engagement management and operational excellence.
Assist clients with meeting their tax and day to day compliance needs.
Research and draft technical tax memoranda on various tax issues for clients.
Review and sign a variety of exempt organization returns and serve as a subject matter expert when appropriate.
Develop and mentor staff and oversee client engagement teams.
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 6 years of experience serving in a tax role with public accounting and/or professional services firm specializing in tax exempt organizations, or a tax role in higher education, healthcare or private foundation.
CPA required (JD or Enrolled Agent (EA) may be accepted in lieu of CPA certification)The wage range for this position in New York is:
$122,000 - $185,000Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
