CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is looking for 4 Outreach Workers in Bergen County.
The Outreach Worker will be responsible for finding and identifying unsheltered homeless individuals through direct street outreach activities across Bergen County.
The Outreach Worker builds relationships with people experiencing unsheltered homelessness, provide advocacy, and assist with connecting individuals to services and housing.
This position works with the Bergen County CoC and Coordinated Entry to assist individuals to access housing.
Identify appropriate permanent housing options for clients, such as subsidized housing Section 8, Shelter Plus Care, VASH, permanent supportive housing, affordable and market rate housing, and other housing opportunities.
Most work will be conducted in the community rather than in an office.
Full-time 40 hours p/w Benefit Eligible including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays 4 Shift(s) PM22 High School Diploma or GED.
Experience providing peer support.
Ability to establish positive relationships with individuals who are chronically homeless and have high vulnerability including persons with mental illness, substance use disorders and a history of involvement with the criminal justice system.
Knowledge of transitional and permanent supportive housing.
Willingness to disclose current or prior use of mental health and/or addiction services, homelessness and speak openly about aspects of their individual recovery.
Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
Proficient in MS Office products, as well as general computer literacy.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
