Primary Responsibilities Planning and developing SOPs, field sampling plans, and other baseline documents required to support remedial investigations, site characterizations, pre-design investigations, etc.
Sampling of soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and other environmental media to support Remedial Investigations, site characterizations, risk assessments, Phase I/II assessments, and other studies Groundwater monitoring well installation oversight Operation of various types of monitoring equipment in the field Data evaluation and tabulation to support site interpretations and reports Coordination with and oversight of subcontractors Completion of daily reports, boring logs, various sample documentation forms.
Work independently on small projects, work in teams on larger projects, and assist more-senior scientists and engineers on client deliverables.
Perform other duties as needed QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental or Earth Sciences, Hydrogeology or closely related field.
Capable of adequately completing or having the knowledge to support the responsibilities listed above Experience with Microsoft Office programs (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel) Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills Ability to succeed in a fast-paced dynamic environment handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines Ability and willingness to at times perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures) Ability to organize and evaluate data including the preparation of site characterization and remedial investigation reports, tables, graphs, charts, and figures The availability for extended fieldwork (up to 14 days at a time) and travel (Continental U.
S.
and U.
S.
Territories) - Annual travel is estimated at 60% to 70%.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Esri products such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus Basic knowledge of federal and New York/New Jersey and/or Connecticut environmental regulations, and ASTM Phase I/II Microsoft Suite user (Word, Excel, Projects, One Note, etc.
) Related/applicable prior experience is a plus Interested in pursuing a professional license (e.
g.
