Job Overview The Outbound Delivery Manager is responsible for managing the portfolio of providers that deliver direct to consumer, including Parcel Carriers and Scheduled Delivery Providers.
In this capacity, the Customer Delivery Manager is responsible for maintaining the relationship with providers, ensuring contractual performance is achieved.
Working through a Customer Delivery team, this role requires collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure service level agreements are met, transportation budget goals are established and achieved, as well as the development of financial and performance reports visible to enterprise-wide stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for carrier selection and management for consistently growing direct-to-consumer and scheduled delivery providers business.
Recommendations on network options for shipping from DCs or stores Partner with Omnichannel Merchandising and Analytics teams to understand volume projections for direct to consumer and scheduled delivery channels, drive collaborative forecasting with omnichannel delivery providers to ensure capacity to service order volumes Identification of opportunities for improvement in both cost and service Development of reporting metrics to ensure key customer service metrics are being achieved Invoicing and accrual management for Parcel and Scheduled Delivery Providers Lead and support projects and RFPs to improve processes, streamline supply chain, and select providers.
Identify and recommend new projects/ initiatives to improve PCHI performance, efficiency and profitability.
Support budgeting and forecast efforts through modeling, variance analysis and collaboration with Finance and SC Analytics Provider score carding as well as identification and recommended actions on provider performance issues.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure shipment and delivery plans are established and met throughout the year, with extra focus on peak weeks, Holiday weeks and special events.
