Sr Underwriter - Franchise

Job Details Description The Franchise Sr. Underwriter is responsible for analyzing loan applications for C&I and CRE loan requests and making informed credit recommendations in concert with the Banks Franchise Lending Policy. The client base consists of members of Bank approved Franchise Concepts. The position involves significant financial responsibilities including the ability to analysis borrower financial statements and access the risks associated with the loan. The Sr. Underwriter is responsible for managing the credit process from underwriting/approval, commitment stage, through the final funding stage. This position involves communication with marketing associates, borrower, Franchise Credit Manager, loan processors, loan closers, bank servicing and Senior management. RESPONSIBILITIES Spreading financial statements for Borrower, Corporate Guarantors and non-guarantors/affiliates which may include:
Real Estate Holding Companies and Management Companies. The Financial Spread generally includes unit level and consolidated profit and loss statements, Balance sheets, Debt Schedules, and Base Case/Pro-forma. The spread sheet requires Sr. Underwriter to consolidate borrower's guarantors and non-guarantors and affiliates into a global Organization. A Global Debt service Analysis is required on all loans over $1MM. Prepare a Loan to Value schedule for CRE and certain C&I loans Interviews with primary contact of the company, and in some cases affiliates related to the principal including outside accountants, and Franchisor representative. Review Credit Bureau Reports for personal guarantors and Westlaw reports for borrowers, guarantors, and affiliates. Review third party documentation including Real Estate and Environmental reports, Purchase and Sale Contracts, Property leases, and Franchise Agreements. Prepare a detailed Credit Approval Memorandum including a risk assessment and recommendation to Management. Prepare Loan Commitment letter for approved loans. Review and identify missing financial information or credit documentation. Contact and email Marketing associate or borrower to collect all necessary information required to make a credit decision. Coordinate with loan processors to ensure timely processing of the loan. Prepare Loan Change Forms including modifications or amendments if necessary for approved loans. Assist Closers with any questions throughout the documentation process. Obtain updated financial statements on expiring loan commitments and multiple disbursement loans from borrowers or marketing associates. Prepare MAC updates in concert with Franchise Portfolio Management. Maintain Salesforce including updated notes during the loan approval process through the funding process. Prepare a Loan Transmittal Form for loans that have been declined, approved but not accepted, or withdrawn. Maintain Electronic Credit Files to ensure that all appropriate financial information and other credit documentation is labeled in conjunction with Bank's approved format. QUALIFICATIONS 5
years Credit and Loan Underwriting experience. 5
years Franchise Lending experience. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
